About the RoleWhole Foods Market is seeking a skilled Bakery Order Writer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing orders, replenishing products, and participating in regional programs for purchasing and promotions.Key Responsibilities

• Order Management: Replenish products through proper buying procedures and monitor open PO reports for both purchases and credits in an accurate and timely manner.
• Inventory Control: Control spoilage/shrink, achieve turn goals, and participate in inventory.
• Customer Service: Ensure orders for product are timely and accurate to monitor inventory turns, and maintain a positive working relationship with vendors.
• Financial Management: Maintain financial profitability by meeting and exceeding purchasing and sales targets.
• Team Collaboration: Arrive to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work, and attend required trainings and meetings.Requirements
  • Comprehensive Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of bakery, coffee, and juice products.
  • Communication Skills: Strong to excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Math Skills: Strong basic math skills.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge and ability to use computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and ordering systems.Working Conditions
    • Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
