  • Travelers will be required to float to cover the need of the entire med surg division
  • Travelers could also float to alternate med surg units
    • Job Requirements
    • At least 2 years acute care experience
    • Able to float wherever needed
    • COVID Vaccine Required
    • RNs required to titrate drips
      • Schedule Information
      • 12-hour shifts
      • Full time
      • Every other weekend
      • Schedule based on staffing need
      • Working 1-2 winter holidays required
      • Up to 4 times call or standby during contract duration
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Med Surg units have different specialties; all are telemetry
        • Charge RN per each unit, House Supervisor from 11am-7am
        • CNAs on unit, taking 8-11 patients
        • Ratios: RNs take 4-5 patients
        • Common titratable &/or set-rate drips: Insulin, Heparin, Nitro, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Cardizem (with restrictions)
        • Telemetry monitored remotely, RNs verify readings
        • CPAP, Bipap, Trachs support available (no vents)
        • Orientation 4 hours each on 7th, 8BC, 9th, 2 south, 3 south and 4 south units
          • Additional Details
          • BLS certification required
          • Medical Solutions auto deducts the 1.75 WA state tax
          • Travelers eligible to re-add the tax back in
          • No specific scrub color required
          • Unit/Department-specific orientation provided
