WORK SCHEDULE

  • 100% FTE - 40 hours per week
  • Day Shift - UW MEDICINE ITS SERVICES CORE HOURS ARE 07:00 - 16:00 (PST), Monday-Friday

    DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
    UW Medicine IT Services (ITS) is a shared services organization that supports all of UW Medicine. UW Medicine is comprised of Harborview Medical Center (HMC), UW Medical Center-Montlake Campus (UWMC-Montlake), UW Medical Center-Northwest Campus (UWMC-NW), Valley Medical Center (VMC), UW Medicine Primary Care (UWMPC), UW Physicians (UWP), UW School of Medicine (SOM), and Airlift Northwest (ALNW). ITS is responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of the infrastructure and applications which support all these institutions, along with the implementation of new services and applications that are used to support and further the UW Medicine mission.

    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Use standard to intermediate level centralized tools and technologies resulting in innovative mobile device solutions used by internal and external technical teams
  • Ensuring the efficient delivery of mobile device technologies supporting clinical, financial, research, and administrative workflow
  • Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to standard to intermediate level
    providing customer support to end users to ensure highly available, highly secure, highly reliable, easy to use, mobile device service
  • Gathering customer requirements, deploying new mobile device solutions, and communicating supporting resources
  • Preparing, delivering, and maintaining mobile devices for users and assigning users to user groups
  • Resolving standard to intermediate level application performance and interface issues
  • Promoting the implementation of ITS strategy, focusing on standard technologies and providing the user community (including remote affiliates) with well-supported services and tools consistent with the standards and guidelines within UW Medicine
  • Providing standard application access and security activities
  • Identifying needs, performing standard to intermediate level technical analysis on client systems
  • Participating in the on-call schedule in support of a 24-hour/7-day production environment
  • Working with departmental IT staff to train users and clients in Medical Center standard systems
  • Providing secondary support in project coordination

    REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent combination of education/experience
  • 2+ years of technology experience should include:
  • 2+ years of progressively responsible experience with systems analysis, installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mobile devices, system software, and applications in support of end user computing devices
  • 2+ years' experience with systems administration, troubleshooting, and production support
  • Some experience with MDM systems administration
  • Some experience with virtual end devices and applications
  • Understanding of Active Directory architecture
  • Familiarity with project management skills
  • Experience in supporting the Microsoft suite of application software
  • Knowledge of local and Wi-Fi networks technologies
  • Some experience working with hardware and software vendors
  • Familiarity with large scale, complex systems
  • Demonstrated experience working with teams in the deployment and support of applications
  • Demonstrated communication skills and ability to work with personnel of various levels of technical background
